The Lanza family is a unique crew. They are fun, fabulous, and loving, with a little bit of quirk. They like to joke around together and make life more interesting, one moment at a time.

I really enjoyed spending an hour with them last week. I love meeting new families and observing their dynamic together. This family is definitely fun.

As the fading light slipped behind the hills and homes of Anaheim, we soaked up every ounce of it we could…both the light and the life. One thing’s for sure…for them and for me…:::life is good:::…

Brandie and Greg – Lifestyle Portraits

Brandie and Greg met in med school and it’s been a medicinal match made ever since. The two are perfect for one another, and just in our short hour together last week I could see all the good that they bring out in one another, and all the good that’s to come.

The two live in PA for now while they finish up their residencies, then the pair dreams of helping people together. Whether it’s on our home front in the States or somewhere abroad, the two will work to make a difference, one patient at a time. Their energy and enthusiasm for one another and for life in general made a difference in my day, that’s for sure.

Congratulations on your engagement and your upcoming wedding, you two. It was truly a pleasure to work with such a beautiful pair.

sometimes you need to take off. get in the car, put the windows down and let your hair fly from your face like your mind on the wind.

so sometimes. i plan get-aways.

sometimes i stay @home and disregard my landline and pretend like i’m young and free. sometimes i go out and watch the world walk by and i feel young and free. then sometimes i skip across waters and lands and hand myself to a new perspective for awhile and i know i’m young and free.

and most times, i get away.

some people hang on too tight. i say let go. get away. don’t come back for awhile…

Perez Family Portraits

Monique and Javier have a pretty incredible story…that hit them just a few months ago…and that has turned into a miracle before their very eyes. Literally.

Earlier this year, Javier got sick and lost his eye sight. Completely.

Bewildered, blind and barely hanging on to hope…Javier started with surgery to recover his vision. Supporting him through every step, Monique lead the way through their family’s darkest hours. She became stronger and brighter than ever, blossoming into a beacon of light and life for herself and for her husband.

After surgeries and prayers and a careful course through God’s plan…a little bit of science mixed with a lot of miracle returned Javier’s sight. Their family can now see in more ways than they ever could before.

We had to reschedule our original appointment because it was too soon after Javier’s latest surgery and his eyes were bothering him. But we finally got together last week and created some beautiful images together. I’m so glad to share them…for all to see!

Zeppos Family Portraits

A few months ago, I showed up at the Zeppos new home to shoot their fabulous trio of munchkins. Kathy, Alex and Kiki are delightful little people. I had so much fun hanging out with these three for the afternoon!

Because they had just moved in, there was lots of space not yet filled with furniture to play with and work to our advantage. The kids were so full of energy, I had to work fast. We mixed in several breaks and I somehow managed to be witty enough for them to keep paying attention to me. I’m don’t typically consider myself a witty person…but at least Kiki thought so!

Alex and Kiki (left and right of this first image) are twins. Kathy is the fearless elder leader. They offered me ice cream after our shoot and I accepted…not so much because I wanted the treat, but more so because I wanted to hang out with them longer…

Photograph Lover - Im in love with these kids! look at those big brown eyes! I don’t know them at all but I can just see their characters shine through, playful, enthusiastic, giddy & loving…among the other overwhelming joy i felt while browsing on this post & your blog. Cheers!
