Courtney and Stephen started out as friends…and in my opinion, that’s the best way to start any relationship.
Then, years later, sparks flew, emotions ran high…and after a sweet courtship in Idaho, Courtney came out to California to intern during her last year of college while Stephen was stationed at the naval base in San Diego. Shortly thereafter, he took her to Coronado, got down on a very shaky knee, and asked her to be his forever. She happily agreed.
Now. This story hits very close to home. Because Courtney and I used to lay on our bellies together at our grandparents home with our Barbie’s and pretend like Ken was asking Barbie to be his forever. Except it wasn’t at the beach and Ken’s knee didn’t shake. But it was lovely on the carpet in the basement too.
But not quite as lovely as Stephen’s proposal. So the three of us decided to go back to the scene of the crime and recreate some loveliness for our e-sesh. And my goodness how lovely they are! Courtney and Stephen, that is. I have the most beautiful cousin and I believe she’s got herself a really beautiful man.
