Laguna Beach Event Photography

Chris Davis and His Orchestra has been making music since the 1960’s and has been wowing audiences since! They played their 7th annual Concert on the Lawn in Laguna Beach Sunday night and it was the perfect evening to kick off the summer season.

Big thank you to the Davis family for hosting such a stellar event! And thanks especially for the opportunity to capture it for you. 🙂

Sometimes a woman needs to take a step back, let go of everything she’s clinging so tightly to and just breathe.

I’ve been so tightly wound lately and in many ways that’s good. I’ve been going going nonstop nonstop and it’s fantastic because the business is bustling, my body’s hustling and I’ve been so busy loving I haven’t noticed how fast the pace has progressed. But sometimes I’m reminded, slow down, Jackie. Let go. Breathe.

I was recently slapped in the face with the reality of how bad a tight wind can sting when it snaps. So I’m stepping back. Looking in the mirror. Reflecting. And trying really hard to remember who I am, why I’m here and where I’m going. I can’t help but empathize with the high school seniors I’ve photographed recently, so full of hope and anticipation. The world is my oyster and I can do anything I want to do in it. I just have to remember to take it all in, savor each moment, and keep my sights set on what is Right and Good. Let go, let God. Engage your insights. And just breathe.

Orange County Engagement Photos

Tina and Jim are a completely classy couple from the way they dress to the way they think. They’ve got style and grace and all the Goodness one could hope to cultivate in life.

They love art. They love to travel. They love to explore museums and controversial conversation. They love Tolle and Merlot and lofty life goals. They love to laugh. Basically they’re my kinda people and it goes without saying that we had so much fun taking their engagement photos a few weeks back.

I wish I could tell them the photos didn’t turn out and we need to reshoot or something so I could have another excuse to hang out with them…

Laila - Where did you go for this shoot? Love both locations!

Senior Photos

Brittany lives and breathes dance. Before school and after, she dances three times a day. It consumes her and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Brittany’s personality goes along with her craft: she is outgoing, full of joy, self-aware and she’s motivated to make Good with her life. Her spirit moves her and it seems to be moving her in the Right places.

So how could we not incorporate some dance into her senior photos? The high school senior graduates from Brea Olinda next week and will move on to Cal Poly Pomona in the fall. Congratulations Brittany!

Orange Wedding Photography

Mallorie and Eddie’s Newport Beach wedding was a classy affair filled with beautiful prayers, sweet succulents, choreographed dances, and the best element to any event: amazing people. The two got married at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange and finished the celebration at the Harborside in Newport on the most perfect May day any bride and groom could have asked for.

Amazing people really do make the truly special weddings that great. It takes a village, after all. And Mal and Ed are so blessed to have such solid support in their friends and family. It’s weddings like these that get me home at the end of the day so thankful for the work I do and the people I get to work with.

Cheers to you, Mallorie and Eddie!
