Baby Photos in San Francisco

It seems lately that bumps are popping out everywhere, and I couldn’t be more overjoyed and thankful for the blessings of my friends. Life is just so beautiful, you know? So happy that such good people are bringing more goodness into it.

Such is the case with my beloved Mariana, a dear friend from back in the day. Her little Lia is probably the most beautiful baby on the planet and you just tell me where to enter her in the contest cause hands down she’ll win.

I met them at their place in Ocean Beach before we walked over to Golden Gate park for Lia’s first official photo shoot. Another shoot’s a coming though, because Mariana is expecting again! I can’t wait to get back up to the city to meet her new little guy in a few months and savor more of life’s Goodness! Enjoy the most beautiful baby photos on the planet for now…I mean how can you not be overjoyed looking at that little lady’s face!?

Editorial Portrait Photography

Last year I did an editorial portrait shoot with the remarkable Hadar Aviram. Hadar is Professor of Law at University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she co-directs the Hastings Institute for Criminal Justice and publishes the California Correctional Crisis blog. I met her a number of years ago doing portraits of herself and some other awesome professionals for the Hastings alum publication.

Anyway, I was stoked when she asked that I do her author portrait for the jacket of her new book Cheap on Crime: Recession-Era Politics and the Transformation of American Punishment. It’s available for pre-order now. Check it out!

Happy New Year my favorite internet peoples! I hit the ground running January first with an early wake up call and a full day of chores. I love getting stuff done on Jan one. 🙂

It’s been nonstop since then and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s in store this year. I’ve got a couple destination weddings booked, a wedding in Santa Cruz that I’ll be standing in 🙂 some solid stuff here in soCal and a new business venture I can’t wait to introduce. I’ve got my eye on the prize!

One goal is to work harder to reflect on my adventures, both here on the blog and personally in my journal as well. Writing has always been a major source of learning and development so I’m vowing to work harder on that for myself this year, and for you. 🙂

Stay hungry, my friends! Let’s rock this one together! I love getting stuff done while having tons of fun!

Vero Beach Wedding at The Driftwood

Abigail and her family have vacationed at The Diftwood in Vero Beach, FL almost yearly from the time Abbie and her sister Trish were young kids. Their family has many memories soaked into those weathered walls.

So when Abbie ran into Zach on that beach one summer day, it made sense that the blue eyed stranger felt like home. It wasn’t just The Diftwood that tied the two together though; Abbie felt the connection immediately during their first conversation on the soft sand and knew she needed to see him again. They went on their first date later that night and haven’t missed a day of conversation since.

It’s always magical to see two souls that shine brighter together than they did apart. And the Light and love that shone around Abigail and Zachary’s Vero Beach wedding was just that: pure magic. I’m so honored to have been there to not just capture their union, but to also share in the celebration. Because love like this comes once in a lifetime, and documenting it is one thing but supporting them and cheering them on is how it’s done right.

I look forward to celebrating you two forever, Abbie and Zach. You’re the real deal. And I’m excited to drench the Driftwood walls with more memories next December 6.
