There’s something about Chicago that, I don’t know, touches me? Moves me? Makes me feel all giddy inside? Yes to all three.
That city just has this feeling of freedom and fast pace and peace and tranquility all rolled into one. Is that possible? It’s bustling yet bare, juxtaposed somewhere between those tall buildings and that large lake. It’s just such a cool city, filled with some of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
Last time I was there, I spent most of Friday by myself. I walked through the city most of the day, and learned many things on the way. Here’s a collection of images I shot on film that I think display the city’s unique contrast that I hold so dear.
