Speaking at CSUF Comm Week 2012

At some point last year, I casually mentioned to a friend how I disliked public speaking. I mean, don’t we all? She suggested I do more of it. I agreed.

So I made a goal this year to do just that. I decided to finally kick of the photography classes that I’ve for so long been putting off. Then I booked a few speaking engagements. The first of which is coming up next week!

I will be a featured speaker during the Communication Department’s Comm Week 2012. This coming Monday at 7pm in the TSU Bradford room, yours truly will be giving a presentation titled ‘From College to Career, Leveraging Lessons to Persevere.’ It’s based on my personal journey since college and what I’ve learned building my business. I’ll be sharing a few photography tips, networking benefits and business building studies. If you’re free, come check it out. If you’re not, know that I will personally notice your absence in the crowd and will miss you immensely. 😉

Comm Week is an educational event started back in 1978. It’s open to the entire university and explores the role communication plays in society and our daily lives. It’ll be great to go back to speak at an event I learned from as a student myself. Yay for go-getting goals!
