Sometimes it’s difficult for me to write about people for which I really care. There seems to be such an overwhelming greatness inside my heart to try and justify with words. Such has been the case with Brenda and John, so please bear with me as I attempt to say a few things about their wedding last week.
John is the cousin of one of my greatest friends, so I’ve known him for several years and have always thought highly of him. I haven’t known him too well, but well enough to know he’s a stand up guy with the type of core that would shove mountains should his family or friends need. Then Brenda came into his life and she charmed the socks off of us all. I fell for her just as quickly as John probably did, and I was thrilled when they asked me to document their union.
The day finally came and John and the guys showed up on time. Awesome. The girls, naturally, were running late. So we adjusted the plans slightly and waited for them as John admitted he was a little nervous. You wouldn’t have been able to tell though. I’m sure it had something to do with the unspoken support of his guys. They threw back a few beers and chuckled with their normal jest together as I shot them. Again, I don’t know them all too well, but well enough to know that John’s one lucky dude to have such a solid set of friends.
Then we heard an excited MOH voice from way across the field: “She’s HEEEERRE!!!” and John took his place under the big trees to wait for his bride. And when I watched her walk towards him and then embrace him and then laugh with him and share in celebration with him, I knew John isn’t just a lucky dude, he’s an amazing dude.
Because Brenda’s an amazing girl. She’s got a smile that lights up the room and a heart that warms your insides like homemade soup on a chilly day. She’s quite the catch and John caught her with all the goodness and sincerity that a great guy such as himself could possibly reel out…on eHarmony.com. Yep, a match made in [internet] Heaven, John and Brenda are totally [and statistically and eHarmony matchedly] meant to be.
As their story together continues and the marriage chapter begins, I look forward to getting to know them more. Cause this is one couple that epitomizes awesomeness and amazing, and I can’t help but wanna not only tell some more of their story, but be a part of it too.
