Karoline and Andrew were married in Rome last year, at the destination wedding surmounting your wildest dreams. When I think of marriage celebrations and all that goes into planning a wedding, I can’t help but be a big fan of destination weddings. You strip away all the extra craziness like entertaining your guests with a photo booth, what kind of chair covers to spend on and what color, cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and linens and all the things that don’t really matter in the scheme of things, and you’ve got yourself an amazing celebration.
It’s an amazing celebration because it’s about you. Your closest family and friends are the only ones there. Your dress is exactly how you envisioned it because you had more time to search for it and spend exactly what you needed. You’re standing on the landscape of something more incredible and more beautiful than you could have found in your back yard. And it’s just you and the love of your life, committing forever to one another, beginning a journey together on a trip you’ll never forget.
Karoline and Andrew’s Rome wedding last year was nothing short of a fairy tale. Set on the romantic ruins of ancient Rome, the couple and the people who care about them most celebrated a union so beautifully, even the Pope approved. He wrote a letter sending his regards. And now that their wedding album is designed and in their hands, my regards are back in Roma, thankful for the amazing experience I was blessed to document for this amazing couple.
