PINME

Mr. Rye Mullis. Director. Actor. Sweet and Spicy Sauce Extraordinaire. And I. In Orange. With a camera. Two great attitudes. And a fierce photoshoot between some fantastic conversation.

Now he’s headed back to the Big Apple as some work opportunities have come up over there. But I say, someone hire this hottie here in LA. Seriously. He can sing too!

Sheila - Love these! Two of my favorite people for sure.

I shot this lovely property for one of my Mission Viejo realtors last week. And I must say, it reminded me of that classic lesson: don’t judge a book by its cover.

A seemingly ordinary track home in south Mission Viejo was an exquisite masterpiece inside. The home beamed from floor to ceiling with beautiful mouldings, rich hardwood floors, textured ceilings and paint colors picked with perfection. It was decorated perfectly and if I had the money, I would have bought it on the spot.

It’s so much fun shooting real estate! It keeps me dreaming big!

This week I shot the Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater’s production of Into the Woods. Director Andrea Fouts has outdone herself again: the show is fantastic!

There are two casts: a junior and a senior with children aged 8-18 and talented like you can’t believe. Must be something in the water in Yorba Linda…or maybe it’s the dedicated and skilled production staff that have coached these kids for the past several weeks of rehearsals. Then you add in a beautiful set and stunning costumes, and you’ve got one solid show.

I saw Into the Woods on Broadway back in 2002 and it was good. And perhaps my appreciation for theater has grown, or perhaps my maturity level has developed enough to appreciate the message on a different level…but one thing’s for sure: this children’s production of the show is the entertaining, heartwarming and sure to leave you with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

Go see it! Running August 6-15 at the Fullerton College Campus Theater. Dates and times listed on Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater Company‘s website. Now, go! Into the Woods!

Back to our regular scheduled programming…

On a daily basis, Amy doesn’t wear much make up and hardly ever wears perfume. So to put on a big ball gown with all the bells and whistles made her skin glow a little brighter than it normally does.

Gavin is normally an easy going guy who isn’t too concerned with bells and whistles. But when he saw his bride for the first time on Saturday, all dun up ringing and tinkling, his face lit up in a way I hadn’t seen before.

It was a beautiful fairy tale wedding at the Disneyland Hotel that most brides probably couldn’t even dream up. Every detail was perfect, from the ruffles in Amy’s dress to the sparkles on her footmen’s shoes. But the best part of their day? Their unconditional love that shown through in every glance, every touch, every moment shared together.

Congratulations, Amy and Gavin. You two are a fairy tale come true.

    tava tea - Powerful post.

Welcome to my new blog! I am happy with the change.

The previous post was a journal entry that I wrote back in June of 2009. It was the very first blog post on my very first blog and I thought it reminiscent and commemorative to post it as the very first post here on my new blog, just one year later.

Many of you have read it, but probably many more have not. I think it’s an appropriate glimpse into a Lovato revelation that is as relevant now as it was then.

Thanks for coming to check me out! Come back soon, ya hear!?
