Happy birthday Layla Claire! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since you came into this world as the sweetest Christmas nugget ever. Now you’re the cutest leg warmer wearing muffin chunk ever! You make 365 days look good, girl.

We’ve been shooting nonstop the past several weeks and have had some amazing moments with some really special people. 🙂
Little Quinn takes the cake on the cutest idea for his holiday family photos though. It was totally his idea. He went to a hillside with lots of trees all by his little selfie and chopped down that there Christmas tree for his parents. What a sweetheart.

“Krista, I love you,” Andrew said wholeheartedly as he turned to his bride. The mic was in his hands and the party had paused to pay attention to its dashing groom. He spoke words of gratitude, adoration and unconditional love. This man really loves this woman, I thought.
And that’s the idea right? At a wedding? They happen every day all because two people fell in love. Well, it’s not every day that you get this kind of love. It’s not every day that you get this kind of depth in the characters of the groom and bride. It’s not every day you get this kind of beauty in an event! Krista designed the whole thing herself and holy mackerel it was stunning.
See for yourselfie. A most gorgeous celebration of a picture perfect union wrapped up with an amazing party. Congrats Krista and Andrew!

paraphrased #repost from @herlovelyimages :::
Inspiration comes in many forms. One of the most intriguing of forms, to me, is other humans.
I love humanity. I was hit with an important message yesterday about slowing down and remaining present. Humanity is so complex it’s important to just be sometimes.
I was stoked to get to just Be and do and do be do be do with Daisy last month. When I think of intimacy, I first think of opening yourself up to another. Daisy does that every damn day. On stage some days, but quietly on a comfy couch with a friend on others. She’s a gem and I am inspired by the intimacy she reveals in her music, and amazingly, during a portrait session* with yours truly.
*all images shot on Fujifilm Superia 400 35 mm. except for the last two shots: expired Kodak Portra 100 120.
