Sometimes there are moments when a person walks into your life and you know that you cannot let them leave. You just feel it and there’s this instant understanding that this person was placed on your path on purpose. Don’t let them go, is whispered at the nape of your neck, so you get their phone number and you don’t.
Such was the case with Sam. I knew immediately I needed more of this lady in my life. And now a few years later, it’s obvious I was right.
Sam is a mother. Sam is a lover. A provider. A protector. A student of life and love and a teacher of the same. She’s courageous and fierce and wild like a lion’s mane, yet she’s soft and sensitive and allows herself to be vulnerable too.
I wanted to celebrate her softer side a bit so when she got in front of my camera, I worked to pull that out. Because every woman, no matter how strong, needs to soften and listen for those moments that murmur Don’t let this go…
