Carie hit me up awhile ago to do some fresh headshots for her newly updated website (check out her photography work, yo! headshot by yours truly). So we did. Then a few weeks later I invited her to check out my new studio and while she was here, we did a few more…with film.
For those of you who have been following my blog (thank you, I love you), you know that I’ve been dabbling a bit in the world of film photography. I’ve always shot film for fun, when I travel, when I want to see and think about things a little differently, but lately I’ve taken it to a different level. Initially without any intention of shooting film professionally, I’ve found myself loving the medium more and more and wondering if I should incorporate some film into my business…
There’s just a depth to film that digital can’t match. It’s rich with texture and layers of meaning hidden into every piece of emulsion…maybe I’m romanticizing it a bit. But I love it. We shot all these of Carie on film. What do you think? Do you love it too? Should Lovato Images offer a package or option on film?
No post production or Photoshop was used on any of these images…straight from camera.
carie - I say yes to film all the way! These are fun & was fun! Thanks gal!!
