Everyone’s loving this You and Me styled shoot we did last year, and how can you not?! This wedding shoot was inspired by Dave Matthews Band, a love story woven through lyrics, decor, wardrobe, florals and deserts with a music festival vibe. And now, Joy Wed’s in on the awesomeness!

From the editor, Stacy Foley: “…my favourite part of this shoot is the real life, madly in love couple. The details of this creative shoot are personal, beautiful and highly reflective of the song. I can appreciate beautiful inspiration and now whenever I hear that song {and yes it resides on my iPod} I will envision this gorgeous creation.’ Yea real life, madly in love couple Chelsey and Gary from Single Girl, Married Girl! You made this creation shine, for sure.

And so did all the other artists involved. Feast your eyes on the fabulocity of it all on Joy Wed’s feature here.

Phew! What a week! By the weekend’s end, I’ll have completed 11 shoots, 6 meetings, 3 dinner dates <3, 2 training sessions and 1 surprise rendezvous with an out of town friend. Like, whatttt??? How did life suddenly get so cray?

I’ll tell you! It’s because I think it. I decided this year was going to be a positive one, a progressive and productive one and that I was going to do more and love it all. And so it has become.

I believe strongly in the power of the mind. You are what you think, after all. So here’s what I think:

• we should take good care of our bodies, starting with what we put in it. healthy consumption people. think about what you’re bringing in.

• we should focus on the people we love most, and nurture those relationships and be supportive of their needs. think about others.

• we should put good energy and effort into our work. if you’re stuck in a job you don’t really like, try to change your attitude. think positively.

• we should be mindful of creation and the Creator. the more we stop to appreciate, the more blessings we begin to see. think to rejoice in it.

You are what you think! And today I think I’m a busy lady that is super blessed with way too much of life’s beauty.

    Abigail Ann - The ever-beautiful and insightful Jackie Lovato! <3 <3 <3.

There is nothing in my mind as sweet and free as the summer of sixteen.

Shiny new car. Sweaty legs on hot seats. Open roads. Wind in hair. Fields. Yards. Bonfires. Bikinis. The Clearing. My first drags of a cigarette. Tight, uncomfortable, rough. Rolling around in grass. Itching. Running. Laughing and loving. Fireflies glittering the highway sides as we flew by. Hawaiian punch slushies. Head rushies. Meeting at Dahl’s. Parent phone calls.

We ran that town, or so we thought. Without any real responsibility, life was simple and sweet. The main prerogative was fun, and we sure had it.

That summer was also about letting go. My first boyfriend and high school sweetheart told me he needed a break, so he wasn’t a part of it, but figuring out where we would go was. It was my last summer without having a job, so freedom was abundant, but understanding it would be my last was too. I found out my dad got transferred again, so as much as I loved my friends, I knew I’d be saying goodbye soon.

A few months later we did move, and I let go of a group of people I never thought I could love so much. I let go of an athletic life that had defined me since I was ten. I let go of a lot of my youth and its dependency and the comfort of being taken care of because after that I started working and never stopped. I still did young fun dumb stuff, but there is nothing like that summer of sixteen.

James says how in his mind he’s going to Carolina, well in my mind I like to go with Vivian, driving down a road outside of Des Moines.

Marianne Flanagan Rozar - Sweet sentiments of cherished memories, nice Jackie!

    Jackie Lovato - thanks Magic!

Lauren and Shane are so in love they want to shout it out loud! Scream it at the streets! Sing it to the hill tops! Whisper it in the ocean breeze!

Instead, they opted to create a save the date card to send out to their friends and family to announce the celebration of their marriage. I mocked up a few different designs, but Lauren decided she wanted something a little more soft and romantic, so I came up with this one and I love it! Fortunately, they did too.

It’s the perfect introduction to the start of their fairy tale story…yea, I went there. I’m cheesy, Internet. Get into it.

A Pakistani wedding is full of ancient traditions and customs that revolve around Islam. Typically a traditional Pakistani wedding celebration lasts four days.

On the fourth day, the couple hosts their first dinner as husband and wife called Walima. The groom’s family invites all of the guests for a feast and the parents give their blessing. This is the most festive event of the wedding ceremony where they are announced to the public formally as a married couple.

The bride wears a heavily decorated dress with gold jewellery provided by the groom’s family, and doesn’t Fiza look marvelous?! I love her henna, bangles, Pazeb, and rings. Mobin wore a Western suit and looks ultra dapper himself. They looked fabulous together on their Pakistani wedding stage as all their guests adorned them with love and celebration.

Mobin and Fiza held their event at the Anaheim Hilton and made use of the courtyard and fabulous evening light for some wedding portraits before the party began. And what a party it was!
