Last week I shot the La Cienega Design Quarter Legends 2013 5th Annual Event with JL Photographers. We shot 15 events in 12 hours the first day, then 13 in 12 the next in the LCDQ of West Hollywood. It was nonstop shooting and coordinating and walking everywhere. It was exhausting but inspiring too.
We were surrounded by some pretty amazing people, from artists to collectors to the designers themselves, it was room after room full of interesting and influential people. I walked away physically drained yet creatively full.
There were panel talks, presentations, keynote speakers, book signings, open houses and wrap parties and I thought it was so rad that the design community gets together like that each year. I just love when creatives combine forces and open up their doors for the common good and with such well orchestrated events. It kinda makes me want to move on a street with a bunch of photographers and designers. In fact, maybe a bunch of creatives should just move on my street.
Old Towne Orange anyone? Let’s do it. Then we can be exhausted and inspired together more often.
