God had His plan for Lupe and Larry. It required patience on all accounts, and the seeming late timing was definitely worth the wait.
Larry joined his cousin one Sunday for church and he immediately noticed Lupe. He was so taken by her, and surely the message of God that morning, that he joined his cousin again the following Sunday. And then the next, and so on until about a year later, he was a regular member. But he had still yet to meet Lupe! He asked his cousin repeatedly for an introduction, but finally took matters into his own hands and walked up to ask her to dinner. He was nervous but knew he shouldn’t wait any longer.
She was a little reserved at first, but eventually she said yes! A few years later when he got down on one knee, God smiled down upon them as she said yes again.
The two tied the knot in a ridiculously romantic and elegant wedding at the Nixon Library this past weekend. The bridesmaids wore royal blue and Elegant Thorns did an amazing job with stunning red roses that created a classic American look. Larry served in Vietnam so the patriotism was felt throughout. It was so sweet to see the pride in Larry’s eyes as he watched his bride walk towards him. Good things come to those who wait, and Lupe and Larry’s union could be the best yet.
